A Marquee Wedding In Midhurst

Firstly a ceremony at Graffam Church and then a short ride to Norwood Cottage near Midhurst for the Marquee wedding Celebrations….

Throughout the year, couples chose to be married at our beautiful and historic St Giles Church, an idyllic setting nestled in the lee of the South Downs at the quiet end of Graffham village. While the oldest parts of St Giles date back to the 12th Century, it was substantially rebuilt in the 1800s  as a tribute to Bishop Samuel Wilberforce, son of the anti-slavery campaigner. He married the eldest daughter of the former rector of Graffham with Woolavington, and went on to become Bishop of Oxford and then Winchester. For centuries, couples have chosen to be married at our beautiful and historic St Giles Church, nestling in the lee of the South Downs at the quiet end of the village before the road turns into a bridleway through the woods to the top of Graffham Down, with its view across open fields.

Chloe and Anthony chose to host their Marquee wedding at a local house - They had beautiful walkways and lovely views of the main cottage as the bcakdrop for their celebrations. Their was a very french theme to their wedding - partly because Anthony is French and partly because Chloe is fluent in french and her passion from quite early on was wine and food - Chloe is a very well renowned wine expert. The food on all fronts was delicious - but take a look at the cheese board!! Yum

The rain was with us on our beautiful July day - but we danced around it, and there was so much space for the drinks reception inside the tent that it really wasnt a problem,

My couple wanted my wedding photography to capture a natural day - nothing to startchy. No wedding prep, - just the wedding story told beautifully in pictures…..
