The venue features two beautifully restored flint stone barns: ) the East Barn and The South Barn
Ideal for ceremonies, with large glass doors offering views of the South Downs. It's licensed for civil ceremonies and has a capacity of up to 150 guests - The South barn is Used for receptions, it has a rustic yet spacious interior, featuring underfloor heating and seating for up to 150 guests. A charming central courtyard is perfect for drinks receptions and socializing, with seating and Moroccan Snug Area for guests to relax. The pretty gardens are also ideal for photos.
: A delightful, beamed cottage is available for the wedding couple to get ready and stay overnight, featuring a luxurious bathroom and a Juliet balcony overlooking the courtyard . Then there is the gorgeous bar are with glass all down one side looking into the courtyard : Provides drinks and seating, offering a contemporary atmosphere for evening celebrations.
Weddings are always fun at Upwaltham - I have visited several times over the years in all seasons - so i know how to get the most out of the venue and your day - be it winter summer spring or autumn. The team are friendly and accomodating and the views are astonishing.
Suzi and Luke had such a relaxed and happy celebration - it was wonderful to photograph their wedding day and our time in the evening when we strolled up the footpath to take pictures overlooking the barns - was such a sweet, chilled and romantic time. I think taking the couple away from the noise of it all for a few moments, gives couples that few moments alone just to breathe it all in. then within just a few moments its back to it all…….
