GOODWOOD WEDDING
Charlotte & Sam - enjoy an absolutely stunning day at The Kennels Goodwood
A GORGEOUS day in July - It turned into quite a hot day after slightly mixed weather in the morning - Charlotte and sam met at University and getting married and having the Kennels as their reception was a dream come true - Sadly Lovely “Ted” the goldendoodle only came to the church - as the whole day may have been too much for him as he was still quite young . The Kennels though is of course a very dog friendly venue and I have lots of pictures of couples with their doggies…….
We started off in Church - dressed by the lovely Louise Avery flowers - and then onto the Kennels for champagne and canapes. Charlotte and Sam set off after the service in their gorgeous porsche which swept through the estate for them to make their grand arrival…
There are several areas to the Kennels Private members Clubhouse - You can hire any of these for an event
There are the Dining Rooms…. The combination of the dining areas with beautiful decor and wonderful striped glasses - a real treat. Ot just use the large dining room at the end with its own exit onto the terrace for a smallish wedding - Its a very grand table for your guests to sit around.
The Library - the upstairs room with a rather cosy feel and big chairs and sofas - often a room used to CUT THE CAKE for smaller weddings, and beautiful views from the windows over to goodwood House
The Music Room - floor to ceiling with Penguin paperbacks. You can also have a ceremony in this room or just use it for your dining experience.
The Terrace - just off the dining room - you can dine Al fresco here………
The Putting Green - a large outdoor / inddor area - suitable for dining, eveing food - and entertainment… <My couple had their band out here as well as their eveing food which looked rather spicy!!
Their band was the PARTY STARTERS - they were fabulous……
their dog Ted - who came to the service and cried at a few points ( bless him doing his little woooof wooofs, ) he didnt come to the main event as it can be a bit distracting - however my couple chose a Dog theme for the whole wedding as the family had had numerous dogs and lets be honest the Kennels is one place where you cand indulge your doggy side!
All in All the Wedding at The kennels Goodwood was very stylish and elegant - a true country House wedding, and its was glorious fun! Especially after all the Covid delays…. My couple had the time of their lives…. This is why i love my job..
